Results

Not only have orders increased by a staggering 87%, but revenue has increased by 140%; we have also reduced the Cost Per Acquisition by 0.41% and achieved a 48% improvement in the Marketing Efficiency Ratio, which means that the Printed Little Things team are getting more returns, for the money they are investing.

We’re now (somewhat) apologising for the Printed Little Things 16-hour working days, but excited to continue smashing their growth goals; and expanding into new markets.

Challenge

Established In 2021. The business’s initial goal was to create personalised photo products that could be sent to loved ones during the Covid-19 lockdowns. As the business grew, it became evident that there was a demand for more personalised items to commemorate various occasions.

Printed Little Things were generating sales through Google Ads, but performance was stagnant and the team had ambitious plans to scale the business.

The brand needed a multi-channelled strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads and Pinterest Ads to increase the sales of their E-Commerce products.

Not only did we want to increase the volume of orders generated, but we also wanted to reduce the Cost Per Acquisition and improve Return On Investment, across the marketing mix – with an improvement on the overall Marketing Efficiency Ratio score.

Strategy

Having already built a strong foundation with a good quality website, the team needed an expert performance marketing strategy to generate product sales and revenue.

Starting with Google ads, we replaced a pre-existing set of campaigns with a consolidated search and shopping setup to begin driving conversion building up a stronger dataset. Utilising performance max, shopping, search (with a focus on exact match keywords) and remarketing channels.

Once the volume of sales increased consistently and ROI grew, we were able to shift focus to expansion. Introducing broad match keywords, to discover more converting users on a wider range of searches.

As we identified our ‘best performers’ on Google Ads, we introduced Microsoft ads to the channel mix to reach more users and utilise strategies that we know to drive sales.

With a focus on diversification and new user acquisition, we then introduced Meta ads and Pinterest ads. With new targeting technologies (Meta advantage+ ads and Pinterest Performance+ ads) alongside pre-existing targeting options (interest and lookalike audiences), we generated more sales, increased revenue and continued improving budget efficiency for higher ROI across all channels.
