From a team of 50 excited and passionate members, meeting weekly in a village in rural Warwickshire, Playbox Theatre has grown into a pioneer of the creative arts for young people. Based in Warwick, but with national recognition, Playbox celebrates all that is positive about theatre and the creative arts.
There was something about Playbox that really resonated with us. Perhaps it’s their creative process, or the fact they are inspiring the next generation, or just the fact that they are a lovely bunch of people doing something that adds to society – whatever it was, right from the outset, we knew this was going to be a worthwhile project getting involved with.
With young people at the very heart, Playbox is working hard to ensure that it continues to connect, communicate, inspire and engage with its many audiences. At the centre of this is their website and digital presence and we knew that the new site had to deliver on so many different levels.
Our initial data and research helped us understand how their current audience was using the website, but also how their competitors were marketing themselves. Our project team consisted of UI and UX designers, WordPress developers as well as our content and SEO team – all working together with the team at Playbox.
The results have been good. Although the site has only recently launched, we’re already seeing an uplift in all the main metrics including reach, engagement and attraction of new audiences. This may be just Act I, but we are confident that the stage is set for great things.
