The design, development, and execution of a mobile-first microsite for a competition to win festival tickets.
Carlsberg UK is part of one of the worlds largest brewery groups with a portfolio of beers and beverages spanning over 140 brands. Established in 1847 by brewer J.C. Jacobsen, they are one of the best-known beer brands in the world.
They operate across 150 markets worldwide with Carlsberg, Baltika and Tuborg being amongst the eight biggest brands in Europe. Their head office is based in Northampton, just down the road from the Assisted team.
Our brief was to develop a simple, responsive and cost-effective microsite to allow conference participants to enter into a competition to win festival tickets as part of a company incentive.
The site was designed in-line with Carlsberg brand guidelines and worked across all platforms, ensuring it was possible for all attendees to enter regardless of their device.
Along with our microsite looking great, it had to load quickly, handle high demand, ensure verification against multiple entries and enable the team at Carlsberg to download a CSV of entrants at the close of play.
The attendees used Shazam as the gateway to the microsite, using a visual Shazam code that was displayed throughout the day. The incentive was a huge success with two-thirds of the conference attendees entering the competition and a winner being announced at the Carlsberg UK awards ceremony at end of the day.
